Super Junior, SNSD top album sales in first half of 2010 in Korea

SM Entertainment artists Super Junior and Girls Generation (aka SNSD) have dominated the album sales in the first half of the year, according to the sales charts of Korean music download site Hanteo.

Besides the two, other top K-pop artists in the top 10 are Rain, 2PM, and BEAST.

Based on the chart, Super Junior's new album "Bonamana" topped the list with 119,167 in album sales for the first half of the year. Girls Generation were second and third with 117,633 for their album "Oh" and 48,827 for their repackaged second album. Super Junior's repackaged fourth album was fourth with 45,733 in sales.

Other artists in the from fifth to tenth in album sales are:

6. Rain - "Back to the Basic" - 33,764

7. 2PM - "Don't Stop Can't Stop" - 29,381

8. Beast - "Shock of the New Era" - 24,236

Super Junior is MTV Taiwan’s Artist of the Month

668Share The boys of Super Junior recently made their semi-comeback with the release of their 4th repackaged album while promoting the title track No Other. Ironically, they’ve just accomplished something that no other Korean artist has and that’s winning Artist of the Month award from MTV Taiwan.

Lee Minho wants a girlfriend for his birthday present

1429Share Even though we are just a day away from Lee Minho’s 24th birthday on June 22nd, he has already celebrated the occasion yesterday with his fans and celebrity friends.
A special fan meeting titled “2010 The Special Day With Minoz” was held on June 20th at Kyunghee University where over 4,000 fans attended and was hosted by Yoon Hyung Bin. Fellow celebrity friends like Kim Bum, Jung Il Woo, etc also came and there were performances by 2AM, Younha and SeeYa. Taiwanese actor Joe Cheng also made an appearance.

Before the fan meeting, Lee Minho had a press conference where he talked about his most memorable present, “The most memorable birthday present was a tv and home theatre system I received last year, which I am still using. My fans really understand me, so be it caps or rings, I have received a lot of them. After adopting a pet dog, I have also received a lot of presents for it so I am really thankful.”

When asked what present would he like this year, he said, “A girlfriend? I really want to travel and it need not be overseas. I would like to climb mountains and if there was someone who has an interest like this, it would be great.”
